UDAF Human Research Ethics Principles

These principles guide future research involving people. UDAF Human does not claim to have an existing ethics committee. Project-specific review mechanisms will be developed or used where required.

• Informed, voluntary participation
• Respect for privacy and data minimization
• No unnecessary collection of sensitive information
• Withdrawal where applicable, with project-specific limits explained in advance
• Clear separation of research from therapy or services
• Special care when involving vulnerable groups
• Anonymization or pseudonymization where appropriate
• No identifiable personal stories without explicit permission
• Disclosure of conflicts of interest and funding
• Project-specific ethical review where legally or institutionally required

Cases and personal stories

Case publications separate factual description, the participant’s account, interpretation and generalization. We do not diagnose a person from a story, use trauma for emotional effect, or treat one case as proof of a universal mechanism. Composite or anonymized cases must be accurately labelled.

Practical experience is a valuable source of observations and hypotheses, but does not automatically establish a universal pattern.

UDAF Human does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychiatric or medical treatment and is not an emergency service. In urgent danger or a medical emergency, contact appropriate local emergency or qualified professional services, not this form.
